Eghtesad Novin (EN) embarked on underwriting stocks on July 9, 2001, according to a permit issued by the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran. On August 4, 2001, the bank was registered as the first private bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran after establishment of its founding general assembly with a total capital of 250 billion Rials under No. 177132.
The current capital of the bank, according to ratification of an extraordinary meeting of the general assembly dated May 28, 2004, is about 2,500 billion Rials.
